Fragaria vesca
from Wikipedia

The last few weeks I have been saving the strawberries I collect during the week for the weekend when Ruben comes over. I discovered that he likes margaritas, especially strawberry ones.

My terrace has two varieties, one a typical “garden” variety and the other a “wild” variety know as maduixa or fraula in català and as frutilla silvestre or fresa salvaje in castellano. Whatever you call them, they make the most intense flavored strawberry margaritas I have made. And I had made plenty in California.

It’s nice to sit back and watch a movie while sipping away...

And no sweet and sour mix in that margarita, right?

I use a bit of bottled "lime juice" to add to the mix. And now I have run out of tequila and Cointreau.

I am surviving the summer. It's in the mid-80s here which is cooler than Eastern Europe that has had heat wave. And Sevilla is supposed to be 42ºC (108ºF) today, yikes!

When you ask Spaniards about the heat they say "horrible" or "fatal". No translation necessary. they like to complain about the weather.
