A new Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker (C&W/H&B) study, European Cities Monitor 2005, which examines the issues companies regard as important in deciding where to locate, and compares how Europe's leading business cities perform on each issue, was presented Friday in various cities in Europe.
The study finds that of all the 30 European cities surveyed, Barcelona was the best city in which to live, and for the quality of life it offers its workers, and ranked sixth in a list of places in which to do business—higher than Madrid, Munich and Berlin. London and Paris lead the list of places in which to do business.
Barcelona is also considered to be the best city at attracting inward investment from abroad and is doing the most to improve its economy.
Cushman & Wakefield presents the European Cities Monitor annually and has done so for more than a decade. Barcelona has made the top spot for the city in which to live, and for the quality of life several years in a row.
