|Los sábados el metro abre de sol a sol

Saturdays the Metro is open from sun-up to sun-up.
Yesterday they were handing out this flyer as I was entering the Barcelona Metro system. One side was in castellano, the other in català.
I guess this represents the evening of a typical barcelonés:
De casa a la cena, de la cena al bar, del bar a la discoteca, de la discoteca a desayunar, y de desayunar a casa.
I had posted recently that the Metro will be open all night on Saturdays and the evenings before holidays. It’s interesting since many of the holidays this time of year are religious in origin. That's true of día de San Jorge (Sant Jordi) patron saint of Catalunya on April 22nd. After that, the next holiday is el primero de mayo, which is “Labor Day” except in the United States or Canada. And of course May Day is also a traditional springtime holiday in many pre-Christian European pagan cultures.
