Tram without passengers
Typical Tram used in Barcelona
I went on a rare Saturday grocery trip today to the Alcampo hyper-store in Diagonal Mar. That necessitates a switch from the Barcelona Rodalies to the Trambesòs light rail (tram) system connecting Sant Adrià de Besòs and Barcelona.
I thought it a little strange that there were two trams at the station, which is the terminus of the line. Of course when I reached the closest tram, I saw signs in catalá and castellano indicating it wasn’t carrying passengers. What it was carrying was a big bear casually dressed sitting in the driver’s seat. Standing alongside was a conductor (operator) in the usual uniform. My guess was that the tram was on trial runs for a new conductor.
I couldn’t help but think of cuboz and his rail training. Of course these trams are a little light compared to the heavy iron Dominic will be commanding.
